Silence u Part 2: What Has Yale Become?
Client: We the internet TV

In 2015, viral video of Yale's "shrieking girl" screaming at professor Nicholas Christakis exploded across the internet. The cause was an email questioning Halloween costume guidelines his wife, professor Erika Christakis, had written.

A year after the blowup, Erika and Nicholas had both left their positions. The school created more administrative posts to placate students - yet nobody in the administration had vocally backed Yale's supposed core values of academic freedom and open dialogue outlined in its own Woodward Report, a gold standard of academic principle.

The 1619 project’s fake history
Client: Capital research center

“The 1619 Project's Fake History”, covers the New York Times Magazine's 1619 Project. Directed by Nikole Hannah-Jones, the project attempts to reframe our understanding of American history by alleging the central event in the founding of the United States was the first importation of slaves to Virginia in 1619 and not the Declaration of Independence in 1776.

The project has been notably criticized by esteemed historians for its factual errors. Despite this, schools across the nation have embedded the 1619 Project into their curriculums, perhaps endangering our nation's understanding of its founding for generations to come.

Dream Factories - Specialized High Schools in New York City
Client: Pacific Legal Foundation

New York City's Specialized High Schools are among the best in the world. They've produced 14 Nobel Prize winners - more than many countries. The schools are free, and open to anyone who can pass a rigorous admissions test.

Meanwhile, the city’s regular public schools are in bad shape: grade inflation scandals, cheating, low attendance, low proficiency on statewide tests. To distract from failing public schools, the de Blasio administration set its sights on the Specialized High Schools, implying that too many Asian students attend, thus preventing Black and Hispanics from getting in.

“Admission”
Client: Students for fair admissions

In November 2014, Students for Fair Admissions (SFFA) filed a complaint against Harvard College in federal district court. On the same day, SFFA also filed a complaint against the University of North Carolina, although it did not specifically focus on Asian Americans.

Harvard discriminates against Asian Americans by holding them to higher admissions standards than any other racial group, including whites. “Admission” highlights that mistreatment, bringing the stories of inconsistent treatment of Asian Americans to light.

Judith Butler’s war on science
Client: Capital research center

The Architects of Woke series takes aim at far-left post-modernist and Marxist thinkers and activists responsible for the spread of identity politics from college campuses to society at large.

The first episode exposes the outsized influence of Judith Butler, the University of California at Berkeley feminist gender theorist famous for making the argument that gender is a performance rather than biological reality, leading to the notion that gender is an endlessly divisible spectrum that can have far more than two types, male and female.
